Four Ruined Realms

The group arrives at the stairs leading up to the palace, but guards stop them at the portico. Mikail introduces himself as the spymaster of Yusan and tells the guards that his group has one of the exceptions to the Rule of Distance. General Vikal arrives, surprised to see Mikail, Euyn, and Gambria. Gambria says that she is just the driver and is not planning on entering. Vikal asks who brings the exception. Mikail answers that they worked together to get it, but Vikal says that only one person can meet the queen.

Mikail signals to Aeri, who takes out the egg and explains that it is from an amarth. This grabs everyone’s attention. When Vikal continues to refuse to admit all of them, Aeri threatens to break the egg, and Mikail threatens to reveal Queen Quilimar’s secret. Vikal relents and says that they have five minutes to dine with Quilimar, surrounded by guards. She tells them that they can’t carry any weapons into the meeting, and they disarm themselves, leaving their weapons in the sleigh.

When Vikal leaves, Gambria points out that they are walking into a trap.
